The Training and Development Manager, Payroll Services is responsible for the effective coordination of development programs for all newly hired and current employees.  The Training and Development Manager works as part of the corporate training team to assess and drive company-wide training initiatives.

PrimePay is an employee management solutions provider offering a full range of integrated payroll and HR support services to small and mid-sized companies.  We currently have an opening for a Training and Development Manager, Payroll Services at our corporate headquarters in West Chester, PA.

The Training and Development Manager, Payroll Services is responsible for the effective coordination of development programs for all newly hired and current employees.  The Training and Development Manager works as part of the corporate training team to assess and drive company-wide training initiatives.  This position creatively designs and implements the most relevant, effective methods to educate and prepare new employees for the rigorous demands of their positions and addresses continued learning needs of existing employees.

Common tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Delivers and continuously improves training programs in support of the organization’s needs in both group and individual training sessions
  • Conducts training needs analysis to support the design, development and delivery of corporate training programs and strategies
  • Creates high quality deliverables within project scope and determined deadlines
  • Delivers online and conference call training programs for both onsite and offsite employees through a variety of media
  • Manages in-class exercises and provides feedback to trainees in a manner that promotes a supportive learning environment
  • Manages classroom time effectively based on employees’ skills and expertise
  • Links concepts, learning methods, and discussions with relevant business situations to maximize learning
  • Uses adult learning principles to manage content for different types of learning styles (visual, audio, and written)
  • Maintains current knowledge of products, services and programs to customize and/or develop training materials
  • Utilizes current training methodologies, techniques, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of training programs
  • Develops and maintains departmental communication such a bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees receive general training information and are aware of training events
  • Maintains employee list of those who fulfill training requirements

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent experience in the training field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll services, specifically working in the payroll outsourcing industry
  • Certified Payroll Professional preferred (CPP)
  • Proven customer service and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point)
  • Experience with Articulate StoryLine, Articulate 300, Captivate, Cornerstone OnDemand and Salesforce.com a plus
  • Ability to train and lead others including the transferring of complex concepts into easy to understand steps and procedures
  • Open to learning new and innovative training technologies
  • Strong Presentation skills – oral, written, and virtual
  • Well-established time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines with accuracy
  • Clear oral and written communication skills, including proper grammar usage
  • Analytical and detail oriented
  • Proactive and innovative problem solver
  • Positive attitude to all internal and external clients
  • Strong platform skills
